FarmShare CSA – Week of October 9th
Week of October 9th, Week 17 of CSA
Apple of the Week!
Honeycrisp
Even though this cultivar is considered relatively new, it has quickly jumped to fifth place in USA Today’s search this year for America’s favorite apple. Honeycrisp was developed by the University of Minnesota in 1960 using cross-pollination between varieties of apples they created, but it didn’t become well known until the 90’s. This apple is juicy, sweet, and so perfectly crisp, that it fractures effortlessly with every bite.

Each and every week we do our absolute best to get to you the veggies we include in this newsletter so you can plan your week accordingly. Despite all our best plans and intentions, share contents are subject to last minute changes due to weather, field conditions and random acts of mischief by our beloved Mother Nature. This means some weeks that half and full share compositions might not be identical and we will make up where applicable.
See you on the farm or on the road!
Cheers,
The FarmShare Team
